Megan Beltran, soprano
Megan Beltran, soprano, recently completed her second summer as an Apprentice Artist with the Ash Lawn Opera Festival in Charlottesville, Virginia where she sang the role of Frasquita and covered the role of Micaëla in their production of Carmen. This season Ms. Beltran looks forward to performing with a variety of Boston organizations including Boston Lyric Opera, Cantata Singers & Ensemble and the Brookline Chorus. Previously, Ms. Beltran resided in Copenhagen, Denmark where she appeared in concert at the Statens Museum for Kunst, Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium and with Stand Up Opera in Nørrebro.Roles include Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Maria (West Side Story), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Gretel (Hansel & Gretel), Damigella (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Phyllis (Iolanthe), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), and Rose Maybud (Ruddygore). Ms Beltran was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions and a recipient of the East Bay Opera League Young Artist Award.
