The story of Noah and the ark, as told by the 20th century’s greatest opera composer!
Members of Cantata Singers in a staged performance featuring singers from PALS Children’s Chorus and young instrumentalists from the Community Music Center of Boston.
It’s all hands on deck when performers young and old (including the audience!) join forces for this delightful retelling of the old, familiar story in Noye’s Fludde. A musical pageant employing everything from voices, strings, and handbells to sandpaper blocks and ceramic mugs, Noye’s Fludde is filled with magical invention that places it among Britten’s greatest compositions. Speaking with bold simplicity to the young and with sublime sophistication to the less young, Benjamin Britten’s brilliance lets both young and professional talents shine at their brightest in this staged performance. So grab your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers—and grandparents—for an unforgettable afternoon of musical fun!
