Soprano Kathy Howard has been a member of the Cantata Singers since 2000. A resident of the Boston area since 1986, Ms. Howard also sang with the Brookline Chorus and Brookline Chamber Choir as a member and frequent soloist. Her solo work with chorus and in recital has included Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Missa Brevis, and works of Verdi, Bach, Brahms, Purcell, Stravinsky, Weill, Copland, and Gershwin. She also appeared in scenes from Beatrice and Benedict and The Magic Flute with the New England Conservatory Opera Workshop. She most recently enjoyed singing and dancing in the Winton Cabaret fundraiser in Winchester, MA where she lives. In 2003, Ms. Howard won first prize in the National Association of Teachers of Singing-Boston Song Festival, Avocational division.
