Neighborhood House Charter School

In 2007-2008 Cantata Singers continued the 2nd year of a 5-year collaboration with Neighborhood House Charter School in Dorchester. One of the first charter schools to open in Massachusetts, the pre-K-8 Neighborhood House Charter School is also one of the most successful. 

The partnership with Cantata Singers is a true collaboration between a cultural/arts organization and an arts specialist in the school, with additional support from classroom teachers. The project provides the rare opportunity for a music specialist, classroom teachers, and teaching artists to co-design and implement an ongoing, multi-year music program.
