Carola Emrich-Fisher, mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Carola Emrich-Fisher has been a soloist for Cantata Singers Chamber and main series and has performed with various opera companies, notably Boston Bel Canto Opera, Bronx Opera, and Golden Fleece Opera. As a recitalist, she has been featured at venues such as the German Embassy (New York City), the Peabody Essex Museum, Middlebury College (VT), Pepperdine University’s Recital Hall (CA). As an ensemble member, Ms. Emrich-Fisher has appeared at the BBC Proms, in London’s Royal Albert Hall. In 2009, Ms. Emrich-Fisher’s performances have been broadcast on: WERS and on WCRI. One of these broadcasts featured the Newport Baroque recording of “Dido and Aeneas,” on which Ms. Emrich-Fisher sang the role of sailor and second witch. Carola Emrich-Fisher holds a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from New England Conservatory and Master’s Degree with distinction from the Longy School of Music. This is her fourth year as a Teaching Artist for the Cantata Singers’ Classroom Cantatas.
