Bonnie Gleason

A native Coloradan, Bonnie Gleason relocated to Boston following her Master’s studies in Choral Conducting and Voice Performance at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She joined Cantata Singers in 2003 and has been heard many times as a soloist with this wonderful ensemble and in the Chamber Series. She has even had the privilege of leading Cantata Singers in a few of our regular Wednesday rehearsals—what a joy! In addition to her years with Cantata Singers, she sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and has been featured as a soloist with both the Boston Pops and the BSO. In 2011, Ms. Gleason was soprano soloist in the Chorus Pro Musica commission “Expectans expectavi” by Abbie Betinis. She has performed with the Boston Modern Orchestra project and in solo recital at the Swedenbourg Chapel in Harvard Square. Ms. Gleason is music director at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Norwood. She is active as a freelance church soloist. Alliance Music Publications published her edition of the Peter Philips motet “Ave Jesu Christe.”
