Board Chair Mary Beth Stevens has been associated with Cantata Singers since 1997, when she sang her first Bach St. John Passion with the group.  In the ensuing 14 years she has sung on main stage concerts and on Cantata Singers Chamber Series concerts.  She joined the Board of Trustees in 2006, served as Vice Chair from 2008-2010, and was elected Board Chair in 2010.  Mary Beth has a B.M. in Music from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a M.M. in Voice Performance from Boston University.  Prior to joining Cantata Singers she sang with the Wintersauce Chorale, the John Oliver Chorale, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, as well as various church soloist positions in the greater Boston area.

Her professional business experience includes more than 25 years in public relations, marketing, and communications, having held positions in both  Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Lotus Development Corporation and The Weber Group.  She currently maintains a freelance Public Relations practice specializing in public relations and marketing writing.
