Requirements for audition:

• One prepared piece (oratorio or art song preferred, no opera arias please)
• Sight reading will be performed in German

About the Cantata Singers:

• Under the direction of David Hoose, this critically acclaimed 44-voice chorus will perform a four-program series in New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall and First Church in Cambridge.
• 2011-2012 will be Cantata Singers’ 48th season
• Cantata Singers is a chorus of volunteer professional singers.  Potential paid opportunities include solos roles, teaching/performing in Cantata Singers’ “Classroom Cantatas” in-school songwriting program, as well as touring possibilities of shows connected to the education program.
• Rehearsals are generally on Wednesday nights in Brookline.
